Conflict: Vietnam is the third game in Pivotal Games' Conflict series , set during the Tet offensive in 1968. The game follows four normal American G.I.s who are separated from their unit and must fight through enemy territory.
The gameplay revolves around issuing orders to squad members or taking direct control over one of them. Each member has different abilities that can be improved with experience points, allowing players to defuse booby traps and complete objectives such as destroying enemy vehicles or collecting documents.
Levels are set in the jungle, featuring underground Vietcong complexes and temples, as well as encounters with friendly characters like allied soldiers and citizens. The game also involves using stationary weapons and driving jeeps or tanks in some missions.
The Xbox version of Conflict: Vietnam features a split-screen multiplayer co-op mode for up to four players, while the PS2 version is limited to two players. The PC version does not include this feature.
