Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel is the third installment of the Army of Two series. In this game, players stray away from the protagonists in the first two games, Salem and Rios, and play as two different Tactical Worldwide Operations (T.W.O.) operatives, Alpha and Bravo.
The game's story follows Alpha and Bravo's mission to take down the ruthless drug cartel La Guadana and its leader, Estaban Bautista. The game features a co-op play system, where players work together to complete objectives.
The gameplay focuses on regular shootouts with less emphasis on two-player interactions to approach situations. However, it adds new customization options, such as masks, gear, and weapons, which can be tailored to the player's preferences. The game also features a destructible environment, allowing players to destroy and manipulate objects to their advantage.
Players earn rewards based on their approach, with a scoring system that gives cash and experience for kills. An "Overkill" gauge fills up by killing enemies, granting temporary invincibility, unlimited ammo, slowed-down time, and increased damage.
Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel was released on Xbox 360 on March 28, 2013.
