Sega Rally returns to the world of rally racing on the Xbox 360, developed by the newly formed SEGA Racing Studio Team. The game features a variety of new and old rally cars, as well as concept vehicles. Handling is loose and arcade-oriented, and the setup options are not as detailed as those in other similar games.
Sega Rally boasts fifteen circuits across five different terrain types: safari, alpine, tropical, canyon, and arctic. This variety brings a unique driving experience, with players having to navigate through snow, sleet, sand, mud, water, and gravel. The track deformation technology ensures that no two laps are ever the same, as grooves are impacted into the ground and snow is moved off the primary racing line.
Game modes include Quick Race, Championship, Time Attack, and Online multiplayer. Time Attack allows players to set their best times and upload them to 360 Live or PSN. Similarly, players can download other individuals' ghost data and try to beat them. Online multiplayer caters for online battles between up to six players.
Sega Rally was released on 2007-09-28 and offers a fun and exciting racing experience for fans of the genre.
