Thexder , released on the Famicom in 1985, is an action-packed platform shooter from Japan. You take control of a Battletech-style robot that can transform into a jet at will. The game features many levels with increasingly difficult enemies.
The gameplay revolves around switching between mech and jet modes to navigate through the levels while avoiding enemies and collecting power-ups. Your weapon auto-aims, but it has limited energy reserves that need to be replenished periodically. Activating a shield can provide temporary protection, but it consumes some of your life energy.
