Bass Landing, released for the Playstation on 2000-09-07 , is a fishing game that offers a unique blend of education and entertainment. In this game, players embark on a journey to learn about the art of fishing, from basic casting techniques to understanding bass ecology.
Bass Landing features three main modes: tutorial mode, free fishing mode, and B.A.S Pro-Tournament mode. The tutorial mode provides an in-depth look at various aspects of fishing, allowing players to practice their skills before moving on to more challenging content. Free fishing mode allows players to fish at their leisure, exploring five different lakes and targeting 14 species of fish.
Before diving into the world of Bass Landing, players must select their rod, reel, lure, and line, as well as choose a casting technique using a power meter. The goal is to entice a fish onto the hook, all while managing the time scale, rod action, and indicator type.
Throughout the game, options allow players to customize their experience, including tracking records of caught fish and saving notable catches for replay.

Tips & Maps
Mirror Lake
Mirror Lake is the shallowest of the four lakes, with a maximum depth of 23 ft, and its muddy water means bass will take time to return to a fished area. The lake has complex topography, inlets, and coves, providing many good fishing spots, including a stone dock, and the fish are large on average.
Avoid losing a fish to a "Hook Off"
Follow on-screen prompts, tire out fish (especially bass) by setting drag low then increasing it, maintain constant line tension, switch rod position when bass jump, and adjust drag to avoid line breaks.
Casting and setting the hook with the fishing controller
Use a firm flick of the wrist, similar to throwing a frisbee, and avoid swinging the controller wildly or in large arcs.
