Game Guide
Extracted from the original game manual
Cool Boarders 2001 is a competitive snowboarding game where players race down realistic courses, perform tricks, and compete against pro riders. Players can create their own rider, unlock new challenges, and engage in multiplayer races or practice risky maneuvers in a dedicated trick mode.
Story
Introduction
Cool Boarders 2001 offers the thrill and athletic demands of competitive snowboarding. Realistic courses and board control create an authentic riding experience.
Huge downhills with multiple paths capture the freedom and exhilaration riders dream of. Night rides down snow-covered streets, rail sliding pipes, or jumping trucks deliver an intense rush of danger.
Gameplay
Nail a 720 in the Half Pipe or make every gate in record time on a downhill. Ramp into a three-story jump against a ski chalet in front of amazed spectators. Each victory unlocks a new test of your skills.
Pro Challenge
Enter the Pro Challenge with a rider you create. Compete against one of our 10 top pros. If you beat a star, your boarding skills increase. You also win their big-name boards.
Multi-Player Mode
In multi-player mode, two players break from the gates. Enjoy rowdy turn-based and split-screen downhill shootouts.
Trickmaster Mode
Risky tricks and snow-blinding speed can lead to wipeouts. You get no points when you fail an impossible trick and end up sampling a boulder with your teeth. Save on dentist bills by practicing in Trickmaster Mode.

Saving and Loading Game Data
When you complete an event in Career Mode, you will be prompted to save your game data. You must have a MEMORY CARD inserted in Slot 1 of your PlayStation game console to save game data. Saved data takes up one block of memory.
Correct timing and powerful jumps
Good jumps buy you hang time for trick combos. Learn how to release the button to jump at just the right time.
Ollie your board
Tap the button to gain speed especially from a stop or at the beginning of a downhill.
Rack up trick points
Avoid repeating the same trick combo during a jump. Complex combos raise the difficulty multiplier and jack up points big time.
