•
If you choose T-Ball or Farm, press the X Button when the ball is near the plate to swing.
•
For maximum challenge and control, choose "The Show" in the Batter Skills setting.
The Show Batting Skill
To bat successfully with "The Show" skill setting, anticipate the pitch.
•
Press the X Button (or appropriate button) to initiate your power hitch.
•
A meter next to your hitter will rise and fall based on when you start your power hitch.
•
As the ball approaches the plate, position the 'eye on the ball' cursor over it and release the X Button to swing.
•
Correct anticipation of the pitch type will result in maximum power. Practice to master this control.

Leading Off
•
To lead a runner off, press the L1 Button and the D-Pad towards the base the runner occupies.

Each press of L1 moves the runner one step closer to the next base.
•
The 4th press of L1 initiates a steal attempt.
•
To lead off all runners, press the L1 Button.
Lead Back
•
To move a runner back, press the R1 Button.
•
Each press of R1 moves the runner one step back to the base.
Advancing
•

•
To advance all runners, press the Button and hold the D-Pad down. (This is the default setup; another setup requires pointing to the desired base.)
Retreating

•
To retreat all runners while the ball is in play, press the Button and hold the D-Pad down.
Rounding

To have all runners round their bases, press the Button and hold the D-Pad down.
Sliding

Pitching views vary depending on whether you are playing against the computer or a friend, but controls remain the same.
Your pitcher has up to four available pitches, displayed in a small pitch menu.
