The gameplay involves selecting commands such as "Change Character", which allows players to switch between controlling Donbe and Hikari. The game's progress is shown through changes in the in-game graphics. It's worth noting that the Famicom Disk System version comes on two disks, with Disk 2 requiring Disk 1 to be completed before playing.
