F1 2013 is a racing game that simulates the Formula 1 season 2013, with official licenses for courses, drivers, and cars. It's not strictly realistic but has more simulation than action. The game is similar to F1 2012 . Players take on the role of their chosen driver over five seasons in career mode, trying to become the best. They also face specific challenges, receive emails, and can switch teams.
Gameplay focuses on racing weekends, with challenges and quick matches added for variety. The season challenge mode involves short races against rival drivers, while Grand Prix mode allows custom calendars. Scenario mode and time trial are also available, with the option to undo mistakes based on difficulty level.
The biggest addition to F1 2013 is the F1 Classics mode, featuring cars and drivers from the 1980s. Jerez and Brands Hatch courses are also included, although not part of the main calendar. Multiplayer modes include full races with up to 16 players, split-screen for two players, and quick matches.
Multiplayer options continue with custom race creation and co-op championships for two players. Players can choose from various game modes, including full races, Grand Prix, and scenario mode.
