FIFA Soccer 12 is a soccer game where you control the players. The game has a real-life team and championship license, letting you play with actual teams in real tournaments. However, the main part of the game is the career mode: You manage your club for up to 15 seasons and try to get to the top as manager, player or coach. Every role has its own tasks and challenges.

The biggest changes compared to FIFA Soccer 11 are a new physics engine, a new defending system, and "Pro Player Intelligence". This means players know each other's skills and make decisions based on that.
