Arrow Flash , released on the Sega Genesis in 1990, is a fast-paced side-scrolling space shooter. Players take on the role of a female spaceship pilot tasked with saving the Earth from an alien threat. The mission begins as the spaceship descends into deep space to confront the evil dragon from another galaxy. As players progress through levels, they must navigate the ship through a challenging course while avoiding enemy attacks or destroying them to earn points.
Gameplay involves switching between two modes: normal spaceship and flying robot. Each form offers unique abilities, including different weapons and special powers known as the Arrow Flash. The spaceship can unleash powerful laser blasts, while the robot raises a shield that protects the player from enemy fire for a short time. However, if the robot touches an enemy, it instantly kills them. Players can charge up the Arrow Flash by holding down a button or collect icons during gameplay to release it quickly.
