Barnyard

The gameplay involves walking freely around the farm's unlocked areas, talking to animals using exclamation points on their heads, and solving fetch quests for them. While some quests are necessary to progress the plot, others provide opportunities to earn money by completing side content and buying decorations for night festivities. The game features enemies that can be avoided or fought with milk shots, which require rotating the character to aim at the enemy's udder.

The player's cow has three stats that can be improved throughout the game: life energy, milk capacity, and running speed. The latter is crucial for short-distance running before breathing out, but a bicycle becomes available later to aid in movement. Optional mini-games offer additional challenges and rewards.
