Game Flow
In 'Frontier Stories', you advance the game by moving between the "Entrances" where trains are parked and the dungeon "Stages". Every time you clear a stage, the train's rails are restored, making escape from the Otherworld possible.
Entrances and Stages
Entrances
This is a location where the trains, trapped in the Otherworld, are parked. It serves as the base for your adventure. From here, you select stages and clear them one by one.
Inside the Train
You can talk with the pioneers you have rescued and hear hints about your adventure.
Stages
When you board this device, you enter each stage. You can enter the stages as many times as you like. If you enter again after rescuing a pioneer, you might make new discoveries.
Objectives in Stages
1. Find the Pioneers: First, you must start by finding the pioneers scattered throughout the various stages.
2. Clear the Stage while Protecting the Pioneers: The most important task in the adventure is "protecting the lives of the pioneers." Inside the stage, first secure a safe route, guide the pioneers while protecting them from CIMA, and plan their escape. About Game Over
If even one pioneer dies, in addition to the protagonists Ark and Ivy, the game is over.
•
If you select "Return to the start of the room," you can return to the first room of that floor. Any experience points and items obtained up to that point will be forfeited. •
If you select "Return to title," you will return to the title screen.
Actions While Moving: Settler Guidance
Guiding settlers is done using the crosshair cursor that appears when you press the R button. Use the A or R button to select the settler you want to guide, and if you specify a destination point, they will move there.
•
You can specify up to 3 points at a time. If you specify the third point, movement begins automatically.
•
If you specify the same location twice in a row, movement begins immediately.
•
Settlers move along the straight lines connecting the specified points, so they may occasionally get caught on obstacles along the way. In that case, specify a new location to change the route.
•
If you press the L button while specifying a point, the cursor's movement unit can be changed.
