Set in an alternate universe where the aliens invaded Earth on July 4th, 1996, Independence Day is an action-packed arcade game. Players take control of a jetcraft, tasked with taking down massive spaceships that are destroying cities across the globe.

The gameplay revolves around flying through 3D levels, targeting enemy craft and disabling critical systems to bring the alien ships down. Power-ups are scattered throughout the levels, allowing players to heal their jetcraft, gain bonus weapons, or freeze enemy planes for a brief period.
