Sega's first attempt at Basketball on the Sega Saturn includes plenty of neat visuals; realistic AI and motion capture work; official licenses of the NBA ; practice mode to help you get used to your team; and a multiplayer mode (for up to 5 players on one computer). You can also create your own team and players in the edit mode, in case you don't like what the NBA offers.
The gameplay is where NBA Action 98 shines. With a mix of realistic player movements and arcade-style action, it's easy to get caught up in the fast-paced gameplay. You can choose from a variety of players and teams, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, and try to lead your team to victory.
Released on October 31st, 1997, NBA Action 98 was a welcome addition to the world of sports games, offering a fresh take on the basketball genre.
