Toride is a puzzle game that uses mahjong tiles, similar to the famous Shanghai tile-matching game. The player's goal is to clear a stack of mahjong tiles arranged in a grid by picking individual tiles into their hand. Pairs of tiles in the hand are discarded and cleared, but if the hand exceeds 7 tiles, the player loses. Only exposed tiles can be picked up, and some tiles are concealed on the stack until they are picked into the hand. In addition to single-player mode, there are also two-player competitive and cooperative modes.

The gameplay is challenging, requiring players to think ahead and plan their moves carefully in order to clear the grid without exceeding the tile limit. The game requires strategy and skill, making it a fun and engaging experience for players of all ages.
