Burnout is an arcade style racing game in the mold of the Test Drive or Need For Speed series. In this game, you are racing on realistic streets with real traffic to contend with.
The game features 6 courses to race on, 3 from Europe and 3 from the USA. There are several vehicles to choose from, ranging from compact cars to pickups, although they are not based on real makes and models.
Burnout has a unique feature called the "Burn Meter." The Burn Meter is filled by performing reckless stunts, such as racing into oncoming traffic or power-drifting through corners. Once the Burn Meter is full, your car gets a super speed boost. If you crash, however, the Burn Meter is reset and must be filled again to achieve a boost.
Burnout was released for the Xbox on 29th April 2002, and is a racing game that challenges players to navigate realistic streets with real traffic. With its unique Burn Meter system and variety of vehicles, Burnout offers a thrilling racing experience.
