The story of Outlaw Volleyball revolves around playing various games of volleyball with shady and dirty characters. There are sixteen players in total, each with their own unique personality, strengths, and weaknesses. Players can compete in four different modes: Exhibition, Tour, Drills, and Xbox Live enabled modes.
The gameplay focuses on volleyball matches against opponents with distinct characteristics. The momentum feature from Outlaw Golf is utilized here, allowing players to earn "beating tokens" that can be spent on intimidating the opposing team. This mechanic can aid in comeback situations or provide an advantage during lousy performances.
Outlaw Volleyball features ten different courts with unique backgrounds and animations. Players can enjoy matches on a beach, carnival, or even in a prison setting. The game also supports Xbox Live integration, offering voice chat, scoreboards, and downloadable content for future items.
The game comes bundled with a bonus CD containing music from the band Diffuser, who is promoted as Outlaw Volleyball's official band. With its combination of volleyball gameplay and online features, Outlaw Volleyball provides an entertaining experience for fans of sports games.
