When bounty hunter Scurge: Hive 's mission to investigate Planet Inos goes awry, she is infected with an alien lifeform called Scurge. Forced to land on the planet to find a cure, Jenosa must navigate through hordes of infected creatures while fighting her own infection.
As Scurge: Hive , players take on the role of Jenosa, blasting their way through Planet Inos and trying to keep their 'infection meter' from increasing. The meter can be reduced by using Decontamination Platforms, which also serve as save points. However, failing to cure Jenosa quickly results in rapid life depletion.
Players must complete mission objectives fast to avoid the Scurge taking over, while earning experience to upgrade Jenosa's firepower and health. New weapons and gadgets can be found to aid in navigation and combat, with some weapons being more effective against certain opponents.
