Amanda, daughter of Ellen Ripley, is searching for answers about the USCSS Nostromo logs located on Sevastopol space station. She discovers that a ship carrying the logs reached the station with a terrifying passenger, the one responsible for murdering most of the station's population. Alien: Isolation is a survival horror game set on the Sevastopol space station. The player has some freedom to explore the station, but with certain limitations and obstacles. Amanda can upgrade her tools and access new areas as the game progresses. Amanda is an engineer who can scavenge resources from containers and bodies, craft devices like noisemakers and smoke bombs, and use weapons to defend herself against humanoid enemies or androids.
However, Amanda is not a skilled fighter and must carefully plan each encounter. She needs to be cautious when using certain items, such as her medpack, which requires her to stand still for a while.
When Amanda attracts the alien's attention, stealth is her only option to survive. The alien is relentless and can kill her instantly if she's not careful. The game also features a Survivor mode where the player must escape from a specially designed map while completing secondary objectives and evading the alien. This mode includes online leaderboards for competitive players.
