Wendy: Every Witch Way is an action-adventure game where a young witch named Wendy discovers magical stones in her attic that upset the balance of gravity. The castle these stones came from comes crashing down, and it's up to Wendy to set things right. Players control Wendy as she explores the castle, collecting stars to power up her magic and solving puzzles.
The game combines side-scrolling platforming with puzzle-solving elements. Wendy has the ability to control gravity by pressing up or down on the control pad while jumping, which affects most enemies and obstacles in the game world. As players progress through the different worlds, they'll need to manipulate gravity frequently to overcome challenges.
Stars play a crucial role in Wendy's magic. Collecting stars increases her magical power, from a weak shot to a spread shot that fires in three directions. However, stars also serve as Wendy's health meter – losing a star means losing some magical power and potentially taking damage. If all her stars are lost, she'll lose a life.
