Drome Racers

The game focuses on the Career mode, where you compete in Multi Challenge Races (MCR), which are a series of connected races. The position of the driver at the start of each MCR is determined by the results of the previous race, so whoever wins the last race of an MCR will win the MCR itself. There are 9 standard tracks available, and each one has A and B variations, allowing you to drive in four different ways on each track.

The gameplay involves racing, collecting power-ups, and upgrading your car. You can earn upgrade points by finishing in fourth place or better in challenges, and build tokens by completing certain MCRs or challenges. Each car can be driven with automatic or manual gear changing, except for manual-only drag cars. The game also features health and weapon power-ups, as well as accelerator pads, which add to the arcade nature of the game.

Max is joined in Team Nitro by Rocket, Shicane, and Slot, who assist him in winning the championship and dethroning the current champion, Sever from Team Exo Force. In addition to Career mode, players can choose Arcade mode and Quick Race mode, which feature tracks that have been unlocked in at least one saved game from the Career mode.
