Scooby-Doo! Unmasked takes place after Fred brings his cousin Jed to meet his job at the Monstrous Fright & Magic company. The location is found in shambles, and Winslow Stanton, the creator of Mubber formula, tells them that someone has stolen it and destroyed the building. He believes it's Jed's doing because he disappeared too. Mystery Inc needs to find Jed, fight monsters, and uncover the truth behind this great mystery.
In Scooby-Doo! Unmasked , you will guide Scooby to help Mystery, Inc. uncover clues, fight monsters, and save your friends from danger. You'll visit many worlds, including a China Town and a museum, where you'll encounter various monsters like the Chinese Zombie and the Black Knight. To get past them, use your spin, slide, roll, and smash attacks. Collecting Mubbers allows you to create special costumes with special powers, such as increased agility and force. Keep an eye on your health level, indicated by the number of Scooby Medals you have. If you reach zero, you'll restart at the last save point, but collecting enough Scooby snacks will restore your health. You can also get Shaggy to cook a special meal that increases your medal count. In each world, collect clues and choose the ones Velma thinks will help figure out who's behind everything. After completing the clues, you'll have to fight a boss before Velma reveals the identity of the villain.
You can save the game at any point in the game by selecting Save Game in the Pause Menu or turn on Autosave to enable automatic saving at different points. You can replay levels as many times as you want to collect missing items. In the extra menu, you'll find Bonus Arts featuring conceptual art pieces used in the making of the game.
