You play as Agent 17 (codename: "Otto"), tasked with securing top secret documents from a security building and escaping in the getaway car located in the basement. Your mission is to navigate through a 30-floor building filled with enemy spies who will stop at nothing to kill you.
Enemy spies can be defeated in various ways, including shooting them with your gun, kicking them by jumping onto them, or using a light on the ceiling to drop it on one of them. Additionally, you can crush enemies with an elevator or use its moving parts to harm them.
The hallways will be dark for a short period after a light has been dropped, making it harder to see the enemy spies. Dark hallways will also make it more difficult to spot them. While in an elevator, you have complete control over it, but be careful not to get hit by a bullet.
In non-elevator areas, the elevators move automatically from floor to floor, even when enemy spies are inside. You can leap over gaps, but must be close to the edge to avoid falling off. Elevator cables can block your path, causing you to fall if not avoided.
The game's name doesn't necessarily mean that elevators are the only way to travel - there are also escalators you can use to bypass gunfire and save time.
Your goal is to enter rooms with red doors to collect top secret documents. However, if you don't get all the documents before reaching your car, you'll be forced to return and collect the remaining ones. Once you have all the documents, you can escape and proceed to the next building.
Taking too much time to collect the documents will trigger the alarm, making it harder to control the elevators. Enemies will become more aggressive and take action by dropping themselves or lying flat on the floor.
