As Agent 17, your mission is to secure all top secret documents from a security building and escape in the getaway car, located in the basement of the building. Enemy spies are scattered throughout the 30-floor building and their sole objective is to execute you at all costs.
The game involves various ways to eliminate the enemy spies, including shooting them with your gun, kicking them by jumping onto them, or using a light on the ceiling to drop it onto one of them. Additionally, you can crush them with an elevator. The hallways will be dark for a short period after dropping a light, making the enemies harder to see.
While controlling the elevator is crucial, moving up or down gives you complete control over it. However, if you're already in an elevator and a bullet hits it, you can still get killed. When not in an elevator, it will move from floor to floor automatically, even when enemy spies are present. You must be close to the edge without falling off to leap over gaps safely.
Escalators are also available as a means of travel, allowing you to ride up or down and avoid gunfire if necessary. The game's title, Elevator Action , doesn't limit your movement to elevators alone; escalators play a significant role in the gameplay as well.
Your goal is to enter rooms with red doors to collect top secret documents. If you fail to gather all the documents before escaping, you'll have to go back and collect them again. Once you've secured all the documents and driven away, you proceed to the next building.
Timed well or poorly, your actions will trigger an alarm that will cause trouble controlling elevators and increase aggression from enemy spies. The alarm doesn't reset when you lose a life; it only does so after completing a building. Enemies can also drop themselves and lay flat on the floor, making them harder to hit.
