In a near-future world, beings known as “adepts” have superhuman abilities. Gunvolt, an adept who can control electricity, works for QUILL. He uncovers the Sumeragi Group's sinister experiments and exploitation of other adepts. On a mission, he rescues Joule, a resonance adept, and defects from QUILL to protect her and expose Sumeragi's hidden agenda.
