Mario Party: Island Tour takes the classic Mario Party experience to new heights on the Nintendo 3DS. Players can choose from a diverse cast of characters, including familiar faces like Mario and Luigi, as well as some newcomers like Boo. With a secret ninth character waiting to be unlocked, there's plenty of replay value to be found.

The game offers a variety of modes for different types of play. In Party Mode , players can enjoy 81 different mini-games on seven boards - six standard and one unlockable. This mode can also be played without the use of a board, using only the Mini-Game Mode . Additionally, the game features augmented reality (AR) capabilities and supports Streetpass, which adds an extra layer of fun with StreetPass Minigames . For those looking for a challenge, Bowser's Tower provides 30 floors of mini-games, including boss battles every five floors.

The gameplay remains largely the same as its predecessor, Mario Party DS, but this doesn't detract from the overall experience. With its unique blend of mini-games and social features, Mario Party: Island Tour is sure to bring a smile to fans of the series.
