Shin Megami Tensei is a compilation that brings together two GameBoy Color remakes, The Black Book and The Red Book . The story follows fifth-graders at the Harajuku Elementary School as they navigate a world invaded by demons. With the help of their peers, they must fight to tame these creatures and save the city.
The gameplay in Shin Megami Tensei involves collecting and battling with demons. Players can capture and train new demons, using them to fight against other enemies in turn-based battles. As players progress through the game, they will encounter new demons and strategies to strengthen their team.
Shin Megami Tensei was released on May 31st, 2001 for the PlayStation console.
