Dick Tracy is a platform shooter game based on the classic movie. You play as Dick Tracy , a police detective who enjoys a peaceful life with his wife. But his wife's father is murdered by a local gangster named Big Boy Caprice, and Dick Tracy is now out for revenge. The game doesn't follow the exact plot of the movie, but simply lets Dick Tracy fight his way through several levels until he faces his archenemy.

Dick Tracy is a fast-paced action game where you control Dick Tracy 's movements and shooting abilities. Plenty of gunmen will attack our hero from all sides. Dick Tracy can only move to the right or to the left, making it essential to dodge and shoot quickly. He can use his pistol gun to take out enemies who are in front or behind him, but sometimes he'll have to punch them instead. When the enemy is too close, Dick Tracy 's punching ability will be triggered.

Dick Tracy was released for the Sega Mega Drive on 1 March 1991.
