The third game in the Sengoku 3 series of beat 'em ups, Sengoku 3 once again pits you and a friend against the undead forces of Nobunaga, however this time you can freely select from a group of different characters each with their own weapons and abilities, as well as choose which location in the world (or level) to tackle whenever you want.
The game incorporates a more complex fighting system similar to a one-on-one fighting game, by giving players different attack buttons, special moves based on directional inputs, combos and even a super bar used to unleash devastating super moves. You cannot change weapons or transform into other characters as in the previous games, but you can acquire different ranged weapons for additional attacks as well as unlock certain bosses to increase your available characters.
Sengoku 3 was released on the Neo Geo AES in January 1993 and is a part of the Action & Adventure genre.

Load (Data Recall) Method
If the memory card is correctly set, a "Load Selection Screen" will be displayed before the game starts. Select "YES" with the lever and press the A button to continue playing from the last save.
Save (Data Recording) Method
If the memory card is correctly set, a "Save Selection Screen" will be displayed after the game is over. Select "YES" with the lever and press the A button to record your progress data up to that point.
About Card Formatting (Initialization)
New memory cards are not formatted (initialized). Please be sure to format them according to the following steps before use: set the cassette and memory card, press A~D on 1P controller and reset, then select "Card Format" on the "Data Screen" and press A.
Ninjutsu One
Perform by pressing ββ+A when the Ninja Gauge fills to a certain amount.
Ninjutsu Two
Perform by pressing ββ+B when the Ninja Gauge fills to a certain amount.
Ninjutsu Three
Perform by pressing βββ+B while grabbing an enemy (Kageren or Kongou only).
Ultimate Ninjutsu
Perform by pressing βββ+A+B when the mark appears, dealing great damage to all enemies on the screen.

How to Play
Option Items
When you press the controller's start button on the title screen, "GAME START" and "OPTION" will be displayed.
Select "GAME START" to begin the game with default settings. Select "OPTION" and press the A button to change initial game settings.

Enemies & Characters
Kageren
A ninja leader since childhood, he has high balance in swordsmanship, martial arts, and ninjutsu, mastering lightning-based techniques like 'Thunderbolt Strike'.
Falcon (Golden Falcon)
A Spanish navigator rescued by a ninja, he became a ninja himself and uses fire-based ninjutsu such as 'Phoenix Flight'.
Kongou
Born into a family serving the ninja head, he is a master of arm strength whose powerful throwing technique, 'Kongou Doraiba,' is a deadly move.
Kurenai
Kageren's childhood friend and fiancΓ©e, she specializes in a unique two-sword style and uses highly agile ninjutsu like 'Bunshin Reppa' to mow down enemies.
Hakuki
Expelled from the Shadow Clan for attempting to master forbidden 'Dark Ninjutsu,' he wandered and created his own dark ninjutsu.
Okuni
The leader of the Shirabyoshi, she stepped into the realm of 'demons' to create a new dance, and her enchanting performance captivates and leads others to their death.
Items & Weapons
Shuriken
Attack power is not very high, but it is suitable for long-range suppression.
Kunai
Although its attack power is inferior to that of a shuriken, it can penetrate enemies and deal damage.
Bomb
Can deal damage by engulfing enemies in flames.
Onigiri
Loved by the Japanese people as a portable food for hundreds of years. Recovers a small amount of stamina.
Pizza
An Italian popular menu item, alongside pasta. It might be cold, but it will properly restore your stamina.
Hamburger
A symbolic food of "Deflationary Japan." It's not like the recovery amount is halved on weekdays.
Gold Ingot
A gold ingot boasting over 99% purity. Its value remains unchanged regardless of country or era.
Pot
Something exported from Karatsu to Dutch trading houses around the 17th century... probably not. It's doing a good job.
