Samurai Shodown is set in early feudal Japan, where a man named Shiro Tokisada Amakusa preaches a heretic religion. Unbeknownst to the public, Amakusa is actually being controlled by the evil Ambrosia, who uses him to spread darkness across the world. The player must choose from 12 fierce warriors and three bonus characters to fight against Amakusa and complete specific missions for each character.
Samurai Shodown features a unique gameplay experience, where players can use various fighting techniques to defeat their opponents. With a range of moves at the player's disposal, including punches, kicks, and special attacks, the game requires strategy and skill to emerge victorious.
