Samurai Shodown V

The gameplay has been altered slightly, with a faster pace and the removal of the Slash/Bust system. Each character now has only one version, or the Bust mode is replaced by a new character with a similar setup. Combo slashes, sidestepping, and fatalities have also been removed. The basic moves are modeled after the first games in the series, consisting of three types of slashes, a single kick, and various dodge maneuvers.

The game features 24 characters, including familiar faces and some new additions to the cast. Notably, it is not possible to kill your opponent in this installment.
