Animal Snap: Rescue Them 2 by 2 is a tile-based puzzle game inspired by Mahjong Solitaire. Players need to clear groups of stacked tiles by selecting two identical ones, removing them. As matches are made, new tiles below are uncovered. This process continues until all tiles have been cleared. Tiles are selected by moving the cursor around and pressing a button to confirm or remove a selection.
The gameplay offers two modes: Arcade Mode and Time Challenge. Both modes use the same gameplay but with different goals. In Arcade Mode, players aim to complete levels as fast as possible, while in Time Challenge, a timer counts down. The game's objective is to rescue animals by clearing tiles that contain objects or letters spelling out BONUS .
