Stadium Games is an olympiad style sports game where you can compete in six events: Shooting, Archery, Javelin, Football, Pole Vault, and Hammer Throw. In the Shooting game, you have to shoot down pairs of clay pigeons that are shot in from the side. You view the event from a third person perspective, and have full control of the cross hair. The rest of the events are different, using timing meters for strength and accuracy.

The gameplay focuses on quick reflexes and timing, as you need to hit the button at the right spot on the meter to succeed. Two game modes are available: Practice and Tournament. In Practice mode, one player can play any event at any time without restriction. In Tournament mode, one or two players can compete in all events, earning points for each event completed.

How to Play

Game Overview

Participate in six different events including: clay pigeon shooting, archery, javelin, football kick, pole vault and hammer. Take part in the full tournament or in single event practice mode.

Play against a friend in the tournament mode to prove who has what it takes to claim first place.

Getting Started

1. Make sure the POWER switch is in the OFF position.

2. Insert the Stadium Games Game Pak into the Game Boy Advance slot as described in your Nintendo Game Boy instruction manual.

3. Turn the POWER switch ON. An intro sequence will begin automatically.

WARNING: Never try to insert or remove a Game Pak when the power is ON.

Hammer Throw

The thrower has three attempts to get the best throw distance possible. Points are awarded for distance.

•

Use the large bar to set the rotation speed of the thrower. Full speed is best. Press the A Button to do this.

•

Use the second bar to aim the hammer inside the guide lines. Within the yellow area is best. Press the A Button to do this.



Tips & Maps

Archery

The archer gets ten arrows to fire at the target, with the score based on where the arrow lands. Use the blue bar to control bow string tension around 175 psi and the second bar to guide the shot, stopping both in the middle for optimal results.

Javelin

The thrower gets three attempts to achieve the best throw distance for points. Use the blue bar to set the running speed to full and the second bar to aim the javelin, stopping both at their optimal points.

Football Kick

The kicker has ten attempts at goal with points awarded for accuracy. Use the blue bar to give power and the second bar to aim, stopping both in the middle for best results.

Pole Vault

The vaulter has three attempts at the bar height, with points awarded for height and finesse. Use the blue bar to set full running speed and the second bar to apply full tension for the vault.
