Ice Age 2: The Meltdown is a puzzle-adventure game that follows the story of the film, where three companions must navigate a dangerous, thawing world. Players control all three animal friends – Manny the mammoth, Diego the sabertooth tiger, and Sid the sloth – switching between them to use their distinct abilities to solve each level's terrain hazards.
The gameplay involves using these abilities to overcome obstacles and progress through over 30 adventure levels and boss levels. In addition, there are several Scrat levels, where players control the hyper rodent in fast-paced sidescroller levels, collecting acorns and navigating through increasingly complex environments.
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown was released on January 2006 for the GameBoy Advance.
