Mega Man Legends is a 3D action-adventure game that takes place in a world almost entirely covered in water. Small islands hold huge treasures, attracting treasure hunters known as Diggers. The story follows Mega Man , a young expert Digger, and his friends Roll and Barrel Casket, who live on an airship called the Flutter. After their ship crashes on the island of Kattelox, they become embroiled in a quest to find the legendary Mother Lode treasure.
The game offers a unique blend of exploration and action. Players can explore towns, follow storylines to uncover entrances to underground ruins, and battle large boss robots. Destroying enemies rewards Rock with health, sub-weapon energy, and power cores, which are used as currency in the game world. By searching for items, players can assemble useful gadgets and upgradable sub-weapons for Roll's benefit.
