The year is 1984, and New York City has become a hotbed of paranormal activity. The Ghostbusters team is on the case, using their proton packs and ghost traps to capture and contain the malevolent spirits. However, with the PK level reaching alarming heights, the team must act fast to prevent the Temple of Zuul from awakening and resurrecting the evil goddess Gozer.
The Ghostbusters game is an action-packed adventure that challenges players to navigate the city's streets in their trusty Ghostmobile. With the help of two ghostbusting experts, players must plot a course through traffic, capturing casual spirits along the way. When a haunted location is reached, the game switches to side-view, where players take control of the proton beams and traps to contain the ghosts.
As the game progresses, the PK energy continues to rise, putting pressure on the Ghostbusters team to succeed in their ghost-busting efforts. With each successful capture, players earn money to upgrade their vehicles and equipment, while a single failure will see a ghost escape and leave one of the Ghostbusters in a sticky situation.
The ultimate goal is to reach the Temple of Zuul and face off against Gozer in a final showdown. Will the Ghostbusters team be able to contain the PK energy and save New York City from destruction? The fate of the city hangs in the balance in this classic action-adventure game.
