SimCity Creator is a revamped continuation of the SimCity universe with the same objective, to build the best city or destroy it as the player sees fit.

The gameplay is similar to all its previous versions. The player can place buildings and roads with different themes such as New York Metropolitan buildings, Asian themed buildings, European-style buildings, and futuristic-type buildings. Players can also destroy their city with disasters like meteors, fires, floods, earthquakes, and monsters.

What makes this version different is the interface and how the player builds their city using the Wii Remote. The player uses the remote to draw roads, making them straight or curvy as needed. They can also use the remote to destroy their creation by spinning it vertically to create a whirlwind or slamming down on buildings like a hammer.

Players can hire assistants to help run the city and with construction. They can also take a view of their city using an airplane or helicopter.
