•
If a battle exceeds the time limit, it will end, and the player with more health/energy is the winner.

Attacking
•
Combos: Combinations of Ⓞ / 🔘 button and directional buttons. Pressing these buttons multiple times in a certain pattern performs combos. Commands differ depending on the character. You can check these in the Player 1 Command Chart/List in the Pause Menu.
•
Counter: Different command for each character. Some characters can perform individual counter attacks after an opponent has performed any attack besides a throw. Only certain characters are capable of performing counters.
•
Throw: Directional button away from opponent + Ⓞ / 🔘 button. This lets you grab your opponent and throw them through the air. If performed in mid-air, this results in an aerial throw.
•
Jutsu: ⬆⬆ + Ⓞ / 🔘 button or ⬇⬇ + Ⓞ / 🔘 button. This uses chakra to attack with jutsu or special moves.
•
Extra Hit: Directional button toward the direction you knocked your opponent + Ⓞ / ◯ button. After knocking an opponent through the air, you can instantly circle around them and deal an additional blow before they recover.
•
Extra Hit Counter: Ⓞ / ◯ button (at the moment your opponent lands an Extra Hit). This evades the extra hit and performs an "extra hit counter." You can also perform an "extra hit counter counter" if your opponent attempts an extra hit counter on you.
Secret Techniques
•
Secret Technique: When your Chakra Gauge is maxed out, press △ button, then hit with an attack by pressing Ⓞ / ◯ button. Your character will gather aura in preparation. If the follow-up attack hits, you perform a Secret Technique.
•
For a set period of time after the technique hits, your character enters a special condition that raises their abilities. During this time, some characters cannot use their Secret Technique a second time. Some characters can cause condition changes in enemies they hit, lowering the enemies' abilities.
