Broken Sword 2 is an action-adventure game that follows George Stobbart, a young American tourist, and Nicole Collard, a beautiful French journalist. The two are on a train to Paris when they stumble upon a murder scene. As they try to make sense of the crime, they find themselves caught up in a complex web of espionage and conspiracy.
The gameplay is divided into action sequences and puzzle-solving. Players control George as he navigates through levels, fighting enemies and avoiding obstacles. Between these set pieces, players must use their wits to solve puzzles and uncover the mystery behind the murder.
