Dance Factory is a rhythm action game that focuses on using a dance mat to complete dance patterns scrolling up the screen in time with music. The goal of the game is to get as many arrows in the right order and at the right time to achieve a high score.
The game features six different single-player modes, including a main mode where players match patterns moving up the screen with button presses or foot taps in sync with the music track. Additional modes include endurance, fitness, record, and EyeToy, which add new elements such as playing through an entire CD's worth of songs or competing against another player.
Dance Factory also includes a multiplayer mode that allows two players to dance together in a head-to-head battle or cooperate to compete for higher scores. The game features a tournament mode where up to 16 players can compete in a series of head-to-head battles to determine the winner.
Dance Factory was released on August 29, 2006 for the Playstation 2 console.
