MC Groovz Dance Craze , designed for Mad Catz' dance mat controller, is the first Dance Dance Revolution -style dancing game for the GameCube. The game features 28 licensed dance tracks, including genres like funk and disco, hip hop, pop, and electro.
Game modes include single-player "Just Dance" for high scores, a calorie-based "Dance Workout", and two-player options "Dance Together" (cooperative) and "Dance FaceOff" (competitive).
The gameplay offers two styles: "Scroll", mimicking the DDR model with vertically-scrolling arrows representing steps to be made on the mat or buttons pressed on the controller, and "Spin", showing arrows emerging from the center of the screen moving in all directions. Three difficulty modes are available, and high scores can be saved to memory card.
