Major League Baseball 2K7 is a baseball game that builds on its predecessors with new features and enhancements. The game's fielding and baserunning A.I. system has been revamped to allow for more control, enabling players to take individual control of each baserunner. Additionally, the pennant fever mode has been introduced, which lets players guide their favorite franchise all the way to the World Series Championship during the most intense part of the MLB season.
The game also features "The Farm," a new addition to the Franchise mode that allows aspiring owners to scout and evaluate minor league players by playing full games with AAA clubs. Furthermore, the graphics engine and MLB roster have been updated, providing a more realistic experience for players.
Other notable features include Inside Edge, which boosts player abilities through strength, and 150 animations that mimic real-life stars based on their signature style. The fielding system has also been redesigned with a dynamic throwing mechanic, and online play is available for the PlayStation 3 version. A mini-game allows players to have the manager argue with the umpire by tapping a button.
