Earthworm Jim , released on the Sega Game Gear, is an Action & Adventure game that follows the story of a worm named Jim , who is being chased by Psy-Crow in outer space. However, when a renegade ship's captain steals an ultra-high-tech-indestructible-super-space-cyber-suit, the suit falls to Planet Earth, where Jim finds himself at its center.
Back on Earth, Jim discovers that he can control the suit and must now stop Queen Slug-for-a-Butt from using it to make herself more beautiful. Along the way, Jim meets Princess-What's-Her-Name.
Earthworm Jim is a 2D side-scrolling platformer with action elements where players control Jim , a worm wearing a spacesuit. The game features a variety of ways to overcome obstacles, such as shooting enemies with his gun or using his body in creative ways.
The gameplay consists of standard platforming levels with boss battles at the end, but some levels also introduce new challenges, such as escorting computer-controlled characters and participating in space racing sequences or bungie-jumping competitions. The game's varied level design offers a mix of action and adventure.
