Resident Evil follows a team of S.T.A.R.S members who are sent to investigate a series of murders near Raccoon City. While searching the woods, they are attacked by bloodthirsty dogs and forced to seek refuge in a nearby mansion.
The player takes on the role of either Jill Valentine or Chris Redfield and must navigate the mansion, solving puzzles and collecting keys while avoiding the undead and other terrifying creatures. As they progress, they uncover the dark secrets behind the mansion's sinister forces.
