Super Battletank: War in the Gulf was released on the Super Famicom in April 1993. This game takes place during Operation Desert Storm, where a US tank division is deployed against Iraqi forces. The player controls a M1 Abrams tank as it navigates through various missions to destroy enemy targets.

The gameplay of Super Battletank: War in the Gulf involves exploring large areas of land on foot or from the comfort of the tank's cockpit. Players must rotate their view, aim the cannon and fire at enemy targets until they are destroyed.
