The story follows the same premise as the original: in a futuristic Tokyo-to, players control members of the GG's gang, who must navigate a turf war with rival gangs and avoid the law. With Captain Onishima on the hunt, players must skate through fifteen levels, collecting spray cans and spraying graffiti within a time limit while evading the cops.

The gameplay involves skating through levels, avoiding obstacles and rival gangs' attempts to tag you. You'll collect spray cans and use them to tag designated areas before the timer runs out. The game also features several unique mini-games that can be played with up to four players via link cable, including Throw Down, Tricky, Turf Wars, Killer Crush, and Create-A-Graffiti.
