Super Sidekicks 2: The World Championship is a sequel to Super Sidekicks , a 2D arcade football/soccer game. The player can choose from one of 48 teams, divided into six groups with eight teams in each group. The story mode follows the player's team as they compete in tournaments and try to become the world champions.
The gameplay is simple and typical for the genre. The player controls all footballers on the team and must win the match against rivals. Three buttons are used for different actions: shot, low pass/sliding, high pass/tackle, and short pass/player change.
