Motor Mayhem

Col. Corvalis Bane is a former Marine Corps engineer and Southwest Division Champion, known for his ability to detect traps and steer his team through them during the Düvo War. He is driven by memories of the war and enters into berserk rages during intense competition, piloting a quick and maneuverable Burn Cycle.

Sgt. Connor Forsythe, a former close friend of Corvalis, became his bitter enemy after a court-martial and removal from the Marine Corps. He entered the VCL competition strictly to defeat Corvalis, piloting a modified Burn Cycle that is quick and maneuverable.

Terrence Solum is an enormously strong and difficult-to-damage being, the result of gene-splicing experiments for deep-sea mining. He pilots a powerful construction rig, the Steamroller, with a pile driver/rock breaker incorporated into the hood.

Matthew Stellio is a genetic experiment from the Los Alamos research facility, who developed a unique combat vehicle and an intense drive to break into the VCL competition. He pilots a medium-armored muscle car, the Scorpion Rig, with a devastating close-quarters primary weapon.

Maj. Heath Austin is a highly decorated postwar officer serving in the International Services, who pilots an armored, custom-built hovercraft filled with a variety of special weapons. He remains quiet and severe, with his reasons for entering the VCL being a subject of rampant speculation.

Eva Lutska is a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant and corporate espionage agent for the European Union, who pilots a jet-assisted Mirrored Sports Car with the highest top speed in the Trials. She is investigating the media conglomerate hosting the Trials and is forced to compete to uncover their secrets.

A third generation Mindual and descendent of the Caminus clan, Volcana possesses the psychic gift of pyrokinesis, allowing her to create and project fire from her body. She drives a heavily armored fire engine, engineered to start fires, not put them out.

A second generation Psi-Mindual, Emil Algor is a living psychic conduit between the waking and dreaming worlds. He drives a menacing black stretch limousine that combines quick acceleration and heavy armor at the expense of handling.

Dr. Lincoln Curry, a research scientist focused on bionics and military-grade human exoskeletons, pilots the Buzzsaw, a sophisticated prototype coupled with a military tree-clearing vehicle. He is considered the most disturbed and unpredictable combatant in the VCL.

Motor Mayhem contains a number of secret arenas, secret cheats and a secret character that can be unlocked by finding the key in each level. To unlock a cheat, you must complete two actions: find a purple key in Hard or Very Hard difficulty modes, and collect it. Finding keys in each level can unlock new arenas like Downtown, Canal, and Park Hill, as well as the character Buzzsaw. There are no keys in Quick Brawl, Multi-Player or Normal mode.
