Cars is a racing game based on the movie of the same name, allowing players to explore Radiator Springs and surrounding areas in an open world mission-based structure. The story revolves around racing rookie Lightning McQueen, who wants to become a famous racer and compete in the Piston Cup. Players can roam freely, talk to other characters, and accept race challenges to advance the story.
Gameplay features over 20 Road Races in Story Mode, as well as 5 Piston Cup Races and additional mini-games. Players are awarded bonus points that can be used to unlock content such as boost abilities, new racers, environments, and mini-games. The game also includes an Arcade Menu for quick access to unlocked races and a VS. Mode where players can compete head-to-head.
Cars was released on the Xbox 360 console on November 17th, 2006, for fans of racing games and those who enjoy exploring open worlds with engaging stories.
